Grand Ledge Public Schools Families,

University of Michigan Health-Sparrow – the medical provider for our Health Center – shared some news I am passing along.

Colleen Simon, PA-C, will be leaving the Grand Ledge Public Schools Health Center to pursue another position. Her last day at the Health Center will be February 6, 2025.

Kristin Halsell, PA-C, will join the GLPSHC on March 3, 2025, with pre-approved timeoff March 20 – 27. We have planned two days for Kristin to overlap and shadow Colleen in January and February to ensure continuity and a seamless transition.

During this transition, there will be days when we will not have a medical provider in the Health Center. Our MSW will be available for behavioral health services most days.

NO medical provider: February 7, 2025 – February 28, 2025
YES behavioral health services February 7, 2025 – February 28, 2025

NO medical provider: March 20, 2025 – March 27, 2025
NO behavioral health services: March 24, 2025 – March 28, 2025

The Health Center may be closed March 24, 2025 – March 27, 2025

GLPS wishes Colleen Simon well in her future endeavors, and we welcome Kristin Halsell to Comet Country!  We value our partnership with University of Michigan Health-Sparrow and their efforts to improve access to care while keeping it close to home.  Additionally, we appreciate Eaton RESA for providing the behavior health services and for their support with the grants that made the Health Center a reality.
